Cab weight and size and motor weight?
Anybody have the outside measurement of a cab (rocker to top, driver to passenger door and firewall to back of cab). And what is the weight of a 350 and is manually floor tranny? I have to rent a trailer and need this info. Th cab is rusty in the lower but I need a cab. Is it easy to found a rust free cab in the very North of the New York or Vermont state near Québec province?

a bare cab with only front and rear glass is right around the 500 pound area... give or take a few.

Re: Cab weight and size and motor weight?
If it doesn't have doors or glass it's only about 250 lbs or so. I used a 5x8 trailer to move my cab, see my build thread for pics. I can get you dimensions tomorrow if needed....
Engine and tranny is a heavy SOB though. I used a cherry picker to move mine....

Re: Cab weight and size and motor weight?
If I remember correctly. When I had mine shipped to me on a pallet, the shipping papers said 5 foot x 6 foot x 5 foot on the cab.
I'd double check that info.

Re: Cab weight and size and motor weight?
just measured mine... these are within a few inches since I was by myself...
top to bottom 4'8" wide 6'2" (at the widest point) front to back is about 4'11" I guess the empty cab weighs about 200-225 lbs or so. My neighbor and I carried it, it's front (firewall) heavy though

Re: Cab weight and size and motor weight?
Some buddies and I tried to pick up and move my spare cab....it was too heavy for us to move safely....but it had doors, glass, steering column, gas tank, brake booster all still attached.

Really? Would have never guessed it would be that light completely stripped.
