Torsion bars out, air bags in?
Have read a few threads on modifying lower A-arms,dropped spring cups, custom airbag pockets/saddles.
My '61 has torsion bar susp. pretty much a perimeter triangle with an empty space in the middle. Is there any feasibility to fabbing an airbag saddle and eliminating the torsion bar? I'm not looking to lay rocker or anything just want it alot lower with good handling and this might be a low buck way to do it Any imput would be great

Re: Torsion bars out, air bags in?
I just had my torsion bars pressed out and bolted plates in my lower a-arms. I bolted in 2600 bags. It drove nice and was cost effective.. Good luck.
