rollpan
Hi, I got my 71 suburban yesterday and there was supposed to be an new rear bumper with it. Now the seller forgot to put it in the burb before it got shipped to the Netherlands. He does want to help me and get the bumper here but that will cost a lot of money.
Now I was thinking to make a roll pan on the burb, but I can't seem to find pictures of that. Does someone have pictures of a suburban with a roll pan on it. Mine has cargo doors. Thanks Arnold

Re: rollpan
Thanks, a roll pan looks good. But I mis the chrome, I like to have some shiny stuff on my cars, I still don't really know what to do with it.

Re: rollpan
Have that guy send you a bumper. It was part of your deal. The cost is his problem, his mistake just cost him some money. It would have been free if he hadn`t forgotten.

Re: rollpan
You got that right. I shipped something to the the netherlands a few months ago and it was right around 120 bucks. and it was no where near the weight of a roll pan.

Re: rollpan
I bought the suburban from him and asked him if I could sent him some parts so he could put them in the suburban. He agreed on that and i specifically asked him if the bumper was in the suburban before I arranged shipment for the burb.
Now when I got the suburban at home, 4 months later i immediately noticed that the bumper wasn't there. He said he never got the bumper but when I told him that I was going to let summit find out about it, he suddenly did have the bumper and his wife forgot to place it in the suburban. So I don't think that I can make any demands, I think that he doesn't contact me anymore if I do.

Re: rollpan
Just solved the problem, he bought the bumper from me.
He turned out to be a good guy after all, but now I still don't have a bumper. And I like the Suburban better with bumpers. Maybe when the time is right I'll try to get e set of bumpers here.

Re: rollpan
Don't get me wrong, I do like it but I miss the chrome. That is why I'd rather use a bumper. Time will tell, fist I have to finish my 38 pickup, so I will only spent a little time on the burb in the beginning.
