Tire size question

Guys,
The 60 stepside that I just got came with G78X15s. The WWW are really cracked bad. I've got a set of pretty nice 205/75X15s. The conversion charts that I've seen say the G78 the basiclly the same as a 215 tire. Not much bigger that the 205s that I have. Soooooo are the 205s too small to use

Re: Tire size question

pretty badass stepside...looks like one that was for sale on here some months back. To answere your question though 205's wont be too small for you, actually might be a bit better. 205 will give you a straight wall rather than the bubbled look of the tire wall over the outter lip of the wheel. Id suggest 215's on wheel of 7" wide or better

Re: Tire size question

I've got 275/65/r15 on my stepside and it don't look bad at all. Those tires you're looking at should do you just fine, and that is one beautiful truck.

Here's a pic of my old 64 with Diamondback radial www's, 205.75.15, on a 15X6 supreme.

I thought they fit fine, although it was bagged.

Re: Tire size question

I put the 205s on today. To me they look a little smaller than the G78s but part of that may be the WW size difference. What do ya think???

They look great! What are the chrome buckets in front of the windshield, twin spotlights?

Yup they are dummie spots. They help give it the custom look I like. I'm not planning to do much else to chanfe the look of the truck. New gear ratio (3.90 to 3.73) power streering and a tilt column are my first changes.
