does anyone know where I can find a video of a bagged truck in action with 3/8" air line and valves compared to 1/2"? I'm trying to determine the size I want to run to get my desired speed. I want it to be fast, but not uncontrollable. Also, how many feet do I need to buy. I plan on running 8 valves.

You want 3/8" valves. 1/2" are basically uncontrollable for precise movements. Length depends on where you mount the tank/valves. Study the diagrams on ***************** and figure out where you will put everything and add ten feet to that.

It all depends on how much p.s.i you are going to run. I'm running 120psi on nitrogen with 1/2 valves upfront and 3/8 valves on the rear and they lift at the same speed since there is not that much weight outback. Also, I would recommend using rocker switches instead of toggle switches since they are easier to control your dump and fill speed.

Ive seen quite a few trucks running 3/8 Valves and 1/2 lines..It seems like a good setup to me and its what ill be running..Not too violent and not too slow..Its actually a standard for what the local chop shop runs around here, unless of course the customer is set on a specific setup.

In my S-10 I ran 3/8" valves and 3/8" lines and they were WAY too slow. In my Accord I ran 3/8" valves and 1/2" lines and it was prefect. In my '69 shorty, I plan to run 1/2" valves and lines.

If it is too fast, you can always add a ball valve and slow down the air. Its pretty simple to slow it down, but you can't make it go any faster.

Watching them videos remind me why i got nitrogen. Never liked compressor noise. Nice truck by the way LOS.

I'm a noob on this airbag stuff, can you elaborate a little. How does it work?

Instead of having a compressor and small tank hooked up to your valves you hook up a nitrogen bottle with a regulator. Just like a bottle used with a mig welder except its nitrogen. You have to buy a regulator and either buy or rent a bottle.. I rent mine at an Etox gas store and exchange it everytime I'm out. Since i don't play with it that much i exchange the bottle out about every three months for $20 bucks. Heres a picture of my bottle. Their are several size bottles to choose from.

Oh I see, I'm not sure if that would be economical for me. When I get mine done I'll probably be playin with it all the time.

I had 1/2" fills and 3/8" dumps with 1/2" lines on my 88. trying to set ride height was a pain. I used all 3/8" valves and 1/2" line on my 71 and it is a lot more controllable but still fast.

i have mine on 1/2 ups, 3/8's dumps with 5/8 line on 200 psi. i think it is slow. i have full control on the up but the dumps can be too fast, even with the reducers i have. my truck can get off the ground easily at 250 psi btw.

I used 5/8 lines on my Elky ,that was just rediculous.

So it sounds like 1/2" for the fills and 3/8" for the dumps. Or should it be 1/2" for both and then use a needle valve to control the speed of the dumps?

IMO 1/2" valves are overkill unless you're interested in hopping.

How much pressure do you have on a full nitrogen bottle?

Between 2600 to 2900 psi. Having nitrogen allows you to control your fill speed simply by adjusting your regulator. Also, I screwed on a reducer fitting on my rear dump valve to make it fall real slow. From 3/8 to 1/4.
