I cut out all my rust on the passenger side of the truck. THAT WAS FUN.

Now im standing here with three different patch panels and am LOST... I was lost trying to remove the floor but i was schooled and that came out ok.

here is what im working with.

Floor, inner kickpanel, inner rocker, cab support, and outer rocker.

now my question is. The cab pillar support that is gone, how do i relocate the new piece in the proper section??? Measure the other side, then tack in place and mount fender to see if im lined up??? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Did you brace that at all first?

At first i had it braced, then i knocked the brace out accidentally and it didnt move at all... i measured from both sides and it sits exactly where the other side sits. It hasnt moved...

I guess it wouldn't be able to move that much since it's still bolted to the frame. Sorry, still can't help, but I'd like to see the answers!

Ya, there is ALOT of metal still holding everythhing in place. I figured out what to do, i just have to implement it.

Its very intimidating looking at a huge chunk of missing metal when you have never done anything like this before. I will be starting to do my very first welding on the truck sometime this week. Need to do some more cutting and test fitting...

if you have the new outer rocker, i'd tack it into place with just a fue tacks, you will need to cut them out later, measue the door opening to make sure you are still square, then tack in the cab piller first, hang the door back on test it for fit and gap, that sould let you move forward on the inner rocker and floor....it's hard to discribe it on here, but i realy hope this helps, good luck, small tacks, measure lots.......max.
