Cooling and exhaust torque lbs specs

Howdy folks-

New here, and proud new owner of a 63 c-10 Step-side with a 230 i6 (97k)

I have a manual on order but I couldn't wait for it to arrive before tearing into the cooling system and exhaust. The truck came to me with about three feet of pipe from the manifold, and I'm replacing the radiator with a close 2 row fit from Summit. Just trying to see what kind of driver this may be right now, may go to headers later. I was hoping someone may be able to give me some torque specs for the following:

-water pump to engine block
-thermostat housing to engine block
-fan to water pump

-exhaust flare (with donut gasket, right?) to manifold

I figured the cooling stuff would be around 35/ft lbs., and maybe more for exhaust.

I know I could go on instinct and whether or not these things leak or not, but past experience has taught me to try to torque it right the first time.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Cooling and exhaust torque lbs specs

The only fasteners I use torque specs for are the heads, main and rod caps.

Everything else, I just tighten it up to where it I know it's tight.

I guess, I have been doing it for too long.

But, thats great that you want to go by the specs !!!

I'm sure you can find all the torque spec online....somewhere....

Again, nice truck !!!
