New wheels
I bought a pair of 18 inch wheels from Classic87 . I have to order the rear wheels but bolted the 18x8's on to get an idea what they looked like . I am going to order 18x10 rears . The rear tires will be a little taller and 1 inch wider . It will also get lowered a little . I am only going to lower it 2.5" front and about 4" rear . The pics are a little crappy since it was dark outside .What do you think?

Re: New wheels
Frank, I love it. I think it adds a ton of personality to your little tan truck.
It's your call, but if it were me I would put a set of DJM 3" spindles up front. BTW- When you get the urge to sell this one call me 1st...

Re: New wheels
hey frank, that is a great looking truck. love the wheels, reminds me of my high school era when cragars were the thing. I just finished dropping mine 2.5/4 with spindles in front, and shackles and hangers in the back, and it lowered and leveled my truck just right and that way the suspension geometry isn't changed, and your 18's shouldn't rub or bottom out. and the best thing with the help from people on this site I was able to do it my self, anyway great truck and lots of luck. bob

Re: New wheels
I am thinking about the same setup as Slonakers truck . 2.5 spindles front/ 4 inch springs rear . I have a Bell Tech hanger/shakle kit but I do not want to remove the factory hangers or cut the bed right now . The rear tires I plan to run are 275/60/18 . It should have a little rake and still ride nice with the 18's since they have a lot of sidewall .

Re: New wheels
Man those look good on there Frank...
I would also agree with N2TRUX and go with the 3" spindle... get the tires to hug the fender lip. I'm looking forward to seeing it all come together... the drop, adding the lower trim-- it's going to be SICK!!! Thanks again for the sale and VERY SMOOTH transaction. Anthony |

Re: New wheels
Frank, She looks good.
I think you'll find that 2.5 up front won't feel like it was lowered im with the others on 3" drop up front. |

Re: New wheels
Frank, didn't realize we were that close... I might be at a Marble Falls show this Saturday, not quite sure though. The truck needs some minor work at the moment. We could also find a spot and meet up there, we're about an hour and a half apart.

Re: New wheels
I was really curious to see how your truck would turn out with the 18s on it. I never really looked at anything other than 17s or 20s. The 18s have me thinking. Now I'm really looking forward to see how it looks dropped.
Nice truck, Frank.

Re: New wheels
Makes me wish I still lived in Austin or San Antonio. I could drive up to see both those beautiful trucks! Frank it looks great and the drop (whichever you chose) will make it look even better!
The truck looked great before it's even better now with those wheels and as others have stated dropping it will just make it exceptionally |

Re: New wheels
Thanks for the chop Boxrodz . I actually like the 2.5/4 . I have shackles so if the springs dont let ig go down enough , I can add the shackles . I also can work with the front . The truck does have the 56 inch springs so the fact that I dont have to cut the bed is nice . I would like to see them on Kurts truck . Frank

Re: New wheels
nice! I dunno why, maybe it's the color, but i think adding one piece windows to that truck would look killer. Nice truck!

Re: New wheels
I think I would leave the trim alone, too. It makes it unique, and looks good since it isn't two-toned.
