Rear For An 86
DOES AnYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A FACTORY REPLACEMENT 12 BOLT REAREND FOR AN 86 GMC 1/2 ton truck
I really need one because im gong to out a 388 stroker in my truck pushing 500 horses and i dont think my stock 10 bolt will hold up too it |

12bolts stopped being put in trucks in 1981. If you want one get one out of a pre-81 truck. I don't think I would worry about it too much unless you are planting slicks on the track. We ran a 82 truck with a 454 putting out about 450hp and sprayed 250 shot of NO2 to it and the tranny went south first. The truck wouldn't/couldn't hook the tires up. What are you doing for traction to hook all of this up?

im not sure on gears it has it came from a 70s blazer i think it was 79 but not for sure i live in spring valley ohio its bout seven miles from xenia and bellbrook

12-Bolt rear
I have one in a 90 Suburban 5-lug. Will check on gears, but I think it is 3:42s. Louisville,Ky
