oil pan on lowered trucks
Do trucks that lay frame need a low-profile oil pan? Never measured before I tore mine apart.

Re: oil pan on lowered trucks
My oil pan is just a little higher than the xmember on my '67, so the xmember kinda protects it!

Re: oil pan on lowered trucks
I know with PorterBuilts DropMember it raises the engine 2" or so but I think this is for clearance of the rack & pinion. My 71 was laying crossmember with a 92 LT1 and I had no problems.

Re: oil pan on lowered trucks
stock one works fine with the engine in the stock location and a raised crossmember.

Re: oil pan on lowered trucks
just like on your truck- the front crossmember. I raised it 1 1/2 inches.
