wiring help please

ok need help..
i been killing batterys every 2 weeks. So today i got a new alternator n battery n starter .. now i have 5 wires going to this starter WHAT GOES WERE? next the alternater theres a plug with 2 wires and one red wire for back.. Part #valveucraft 7127 autozone. I dont see a extrenal voltage regulator so assumming that the new alternator dosent need one ? some point in the trucks life they put a hei on it. i only had this truck for 3 weeks so im new to the older chevy trucks. the bs haynes maunal i have dosent help me. here are pictures of what im working with

You have a mess there. There is a 10-12 gauge purple wire that goes to the S term on the selinoid. A small yellow or white wire goes to the R term. There may be 2 or 3 10-12 gauge red wires with fuseable links going to the bat cable term. To really make it right you are probably going to have to snatch it all out & rewire it.
