My '63 SWB Fleet
Here's a link with a few pics.
http://gallery.mac.com/gracpogue#100044 My son and I replaced the seat cover and seat belts. Counting the mexican blanket cover there were 5 seat covers to remove to get to the foam. It'll work for now. I also need a radiator shroud...........gets a little warm without one now. *too many letters .......should work now Last edited by harley; 11-23-2007 at 09:48 AM. |

Re: My '63 SWB Fleet
Thanks.
I bought it thinking my son could use it as a daily driver while we fixed little things along the way. After driving it for a bit I don't know if he can afford the gas and I keep finding things that need to be fixed before I feel compfortable letting him take off in it. Ah well.......it's still cool |

********************************************************** Could be a while fixing stuff before feeling really comfortable letting him take off in it, one should never be too hastey when it comes to safety, [just pulling your leg, ha, ha.] Sweet ride .... but I'm partial to suede having one myself. Like the red wheels they show well on your truck. Harley one quick question, you not starting to fall for this little truck? Nah what was I thinking! Stupid question forget it. esll.

Me......fall for this thing Well, maybe a little. It's one of those "20 footers"....looks great from 20 feet, but up close you start finding things like the floor patched with fiberglass and the missing tailgate then the single digit fuel mileage...............well I'm sure you guys know the drill |

Re: My '63 SWB Fleet
If I found a truck that nice for my son to drive, I think I would give him the truck I presently drive and keep that one for myself.
Your son should be grateful he's got a dad that's got good taste in "basic transportation" (daily driver)..............the red wheels with the baby moons set it off nice!

Forget the son. Like Bill Cosby said; you can always make another one that looks just like him. Keep the truck for yourself.
