71 Interior Cab Light??
I have a 71 C10 has anyone ever wired a door switch in so that when they open there driver and passenger doors the interior cab light comes on?? If so do you have any direction to get this done or do they make a kit for it?? Any input would be great. Thanks

Re: 71 Interior Cab Light??
It's really simple. All you need is a simple harness & 2 switches. It was a factory option. I added it to mine. The harness just runs to each door switch, (which you must drill 2 holes in the door jams for), and the other end of the harness plugs in at a dome lamp connection that already exists on the drivers floorboard under the carpet, or floor mat. An EXACT reproduction harness is less than $25. I got mine from REZ Engineering. (406-727-9267)

Re: 71 Interior Cab Light??
It wasn`t an option, but came on the optional models.Only base trucks don`t have it.The best thing would be to pull the set-up from a truck with it.Check with one of these members/vendors that part alot of trucks. They`d hook you up real cheap. It`s something that prolly goes to the crusher on most of these trucks.
