Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
this has been brought up with out to many options. also the fact that if sumthing happens under the hood. (fire stuck throttle, so on) you might not be able to get to it intime to fix or save it. good luck .

Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
I keep my hood and doors stored in multiple places at my house (shed, garage, basement) so that thieves cant track my truck down! lol
just kidding... I have seen hidden releases for the hood, cutoff switch for gas/battery/starter... or get the trunk monkey! Note the first guy has a GMC! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8avOiTUcD4Y

Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
I got one of those.....hard to find .50AE ammo around here though.
I dont have security, I have a past. In a small ass town of about 2000 people. People around here know not to fuq with my ****. If that dosent work, I got a paranoid Marine neighbor who doesnt sleep and takes it upon himself to patrol our block with a .470NE

Alarm that goes off with open doors or hood, also an inertia switch for motion. Occassionaly use a club on the wheel.

Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
I have a kill switch going to power to the coil on my h.e.i., so it just turns over and won't start. I've heard that they can get around the switch hooked up to your starter. That's just what I heard though.

Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
A little security, allot of security someone wants your truck it's gone!
That's why I use "Bull Dog Security" the decal that will always be on duty 24/7. esll. PS: Car thieves and chop shops know there are alams out there. They are not going to let this stop them. I get a laugh when guys advertise with decals their stereo and alarm systems. Nothing like letting a car thief in on whats on the inside.

Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
Mine's protected by a hybrid (part-Radio Shack) alarm -- good luck figuring it all out! Basically you can't open the doors, hood, etc. without setting off the alarm. Occasionally someone will break in, set off the alarm, grab about $5 worth of stuff, and run.
The truck itself is an old turkey that thieves don't find that attractive -- and even with a key, it takes a certain amount of skill to get it started. |

Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
Radio Shack was out, so I added an
internally located, low-light capable, motion detecting, audio initiated and self activated system called the "INTIMIDATOR".......... -

Re: SECURITY!! What are you guys doing for security?
There was a thread on here a while back . Do not remember his name , but does play Cow Bell . This member was or had fabricated some hood latches activated from the inside. He may have some new stuff too. Thinking he was some thing to do with law enforcement. Last I knew a tree of all things fell on his Classy ride. What was that members name?
