327 & Powerglide ?

I'm looking at a 327 With a powerglide , Compleat from air cleaner to Ex. Manifolds, been sitting for more than 20 years in the hay mow of a barn. Need help setting value , What are Rebuilders Going for? Any demand for powerglides?

If its been truly sitting there that long, it may not be salvagable. The cylinder walls may be rusted solid. Resleeving a motor isn't cheap. You could probably find a decent motor that's running and not have to worry about the inside condition of the engine.

I'm not sure why you'd want a Powerglide for the street, anyway. Usually PG's are used in race applications nowadays. Less gears to shift. For the street that tall first gear in a TH350 or TH400 is nice for taking off. Requires a lot less torque to get moving.
