Fiberglass Front Bumper 67-72 C10
Help.... ......I have been looking everywhere for anyone who makes a "fiberglass front bumper" for a 67-72 C10.
US Body Works has one for a later model but does not make one for 67-72. Also, cannot find a roll pan. Thought for sure I saw one out on the Internet somewhere, sometime ago???? I have a one piece "fiberglass front end" which needs either a bumper or roll pan. Steel would not be an option. If worse comes to worse I will probably have to try and make one myself. Any info or ideas.... Thanks.....

gmc pauls, mar-k and most other vendors sell a roll pan for the front or rear as far as the fiberglass bumper usbody sourse would be my guess but you already looked there.

I was both surprised and disappointed when I called US BODY SOURCE to ask about the front bumper to go with this one piece frontend. 1st.... I have purchased fenders from them in the past... so I am a "customer" NOT just someone looking for "FREE INFO". 2nd.... the one piece fiberglass frontend is a US BODYWORKS (one piece with cowl induction scoop and raised backend that covers cowl area)..... when I started asking about buying parts I need (brackets) and mounting directions, etc. I was told the only way the sell things is with an "initial purchase" and NOT afterwards. That sucks!!!!! As for the bumper.... they do make a later model bumper which they said "could work" (has anyone tried using a later model bumper on a 67-72?) Needless to say I am NOT happy about the "customer service" I DID NOT receive from US BODY WORKS..... maybe I just talked to the "wrong person".... if not I say "BUY ESLEWHERE"...... So if anyone can help me with any suggestions or where I can purchase whatever I need to mount this frontend to my C10 I'd appreciate your help.

Re: Fiberglass Front Bumper 67-72 C10
good luck man, I know vfn and unlimited do not make anything but hoods for our trucks.
You may want to call vfn and see if there is any interest or work being done to make bumpbers and fenders. I have seen them make parts when there is enough interest.

Is it that BAD all the time???? Considering the quality of the products they have you'd think that "customer service" would be good as well!!!

Re: Fiberglass Front Bumper 67-72 C10
I want a front bumper that is shaved and doesn't have the shape for a license plate in front (shaved back bumper to match too).
I wondered if it would be easier to make a mold and do it in fiberglass. Seems it would be easier to cut up and glass in the license plate area... |

Re: Fiberglass Front Bumper 67-72 C10
I've tried to call there seveal times on different dates, different time of day, long distance from Canada and have NEVER talked to a person EVER. And thanks to the message machine as soon as it picks up you pay a minimum long distance charge, not enough to put me in the poor house but enough to annoy me. I will never buy one of their products, to me if you can't talk to someone when you want to buy something what are the chances when you have a problem with the product.

Re: Fiberglass Front Bumper 67-72 C10
I AGREE..... US BODY WORKS is a BIG disappointment.
I do plan on trying to mold up a fiberglass bumper. I have fiberglass material and resins that I also plan to use to make "french tubes" to insert '59 Caddy" tail lights into the rear fenders. It would be worth the "time" to give it a shot. Afterall.... making "one-offs" are what really makes a car/truck/motorcycle stand out in the crowd.... and also the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Might try to also make a rollpan to fill in the void under the grille.... if not at least now I know where to find one. Thanks for the help & Info

Re: Fiberglass Front Bumper 67-72 C10
Hey, I know this thread is ancient, but I stumbled upon it when I was trying to find a glass bumper.
I've found these guys, haven't ordered from them myself. I need a 71 style with the turn signals though, and these don't have turn signal provisions. http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/site.htm |
