pulling a steering wheel

I was going to pull my steering wheel off and the holes that you thread the bolts into are larger than 1/4" but smaller than 5/16". What size bolts do I use?

Re: pulling a steering wheel

The threads on my 64 are 5/16-NC. Actually this is true for my 77 as well, so they must have stuck with this size for a long time.

I got it off, it was 5/16". I had the metric bolts mixed up with the standard

62Scraper:

Glad to hear you got it off...I thought pulling one required the 5/16", but didn't have my puller handy.
