***** Truck seat help!!!! *****

I bought some seats from the salvage yard, bucket seats out a 89 Chevy truck. The seats are way to high. i saw somewhere on this site about cutting the mounting brackets. I would like to see some pics or send a link of that thread. Thanks

They are a little taller, the easiest way is instead of mounting them in the front holes, move everything back and mount the seats behind the humb t the flat of the floor and it will lower it to stock height. Remeber to brace the underside of the floor to giv strength to the mounting.

I had these in my truck both bench & bucket, and they are too tall

What my plans are is to cut them to where it has a step in the bottom & it sits on both the hump & the floor

I would post pics, but I haven't done it yet

I am planning to remove the brackets from a 69 seat and mount it to the 90,s folding bench. I hope to start on this next week.

I put the front bracket on the hump, and the back bracket on the floor. I'm more comfortable in there now than I was before, and I'm 6'2". I think making the seat lower would make it worse as far as leg room goes. If your head almost hits the ceiling, keep the back bracket down for the best of both worlds.
