Blazer tank install
Okay, I know this topic has come up a million times, but a different twist.
I just bought a 31 gallon tank from a 1980 for $85, and I remember seeing a thread where somone put it in, but I couldn't find the thread. I think that I need to remove the 2 smaller rear cross members, and I'm planning on replacing the rear one with one at the very end, but I also want a class 4 hitch on as well. As far as the cross member closer to the differential, will I need to fab a replacement for that, or will there be enough strength without it?

Thanks Mudder! Is that a 31 gal. tank, or a smaller one?
I was thinking of putting a skid plate under it, just in case I go over something in a pasture sometime. Did you get one off something, or fab yours up? thanks, Scott

its 31 galllon
i think it was an 86 blazer and i got everything from it. just found it simpler to make my own crossmembers. the tank is snugged up against the crossmembers. the cross sill u see was cut, because it goes right across the sending unit and fill tube.
