Re: Radiators
The V8 is slightly wider and taller. I have used 6 cyl radiators with v8's and not had a problem as long as the radiator is clean.

Re: Radiators
The reason I ask is that I was using a buddys and he had different numbers on his. They looked to be the same size but mine has wider fins but less of them. Both seem to do a fine job with the 350 that is in my truck.

Re: Radiators
I'll assume you guys are talking about 55 to 59 v8 radiators?
I have a '48 and I was wondering if there was a difference between the 1/2 ton radiator as compared to a Big (2 ton) truck radiator of the same year? Should I start my own thread for this question? |

Re: Radiators
atomspliter the 47-54 1/2 tons were 2 core rads and the 1 1/2 up were 3 core rads if that helps u out. no difference in measurements just the core size.

Re: Radiators
I actually have one of each (1/2 ton and a 1-1/2 Ton) of these radiators and one is about 2/3 as thick as the other. So a long as the 1-1/2 Ton radiator is clean and leak free it should be OK for my Fuel Injected 350 @ 300hp?
