New old project

I have got this pretty clean 1979 lwb body I have had since I was 15 years old, I am 32 now.... It only has about 58k orig miles. It was a 350 oldsmobile diesel truck. I have moved it several times over the years and there was always that one day I would get to it. That day has come.

I have trucks all over the place, so I needed a good parts truck to go with it. Parts got robbed off it over the years and never replaced. So, I got a 1977 lwb with a blown 350 motor a while back on Craigslist and parted mostly the body out. So Its got a really nice chassis. 12 bolt 3:73 posi, a lot of new front suspension parts and its a heavy half. No saggy springs or anything......
sits up like a new pair of tits.

I am just going to put my 79 body on the 77 chassis. I am putting the body on another chassis because its already gas, has all the wires I need, and hasn't been sitting 17 years!!!! I have a lift and air tools, so its not too bad.

Re: New old project

Tony, glad to see you;re ready to get into it. For the other board members, Tony is a stand-up guy who I've been to see several times and he always has what I'm looking for. In fact I always find more than I need, but you know how that goes. If you're anywhere nearby I highly recommend getting with him and going by his place. Keep us posted on the progress Tony.

Bob he has a yard full of trucks, and some are nicer than those. You have to remeber this is Texas. We throw rusty trucks away...

Re: New old project

Looks like a good project man, with all those resources and materials at your disposal, you should make short work of it
