What do you think?

I was think about putting a 61 grill in my 66 short step. I really dig the dual headlights. And the 61 grill is much nicer to look at. Anyone know is it will bolt in?

The two top outer bolt holes will work, but you will have to drill the rest. Fairly simple to do. I also like the 61 grille!!

Re: What do you think?

What was I thinking, I just bought a 61. However if I had any other year I'd put the dual head light grill on it...

Fuel pump, Pic 1 did you cut your grill to do that?

No. I pulled the OE grill out. Put the vette teeth in and filled behind the headlights with this flexible metal mash.

Re: What do you think?

I believe the 60-66 pickups was caught between to different eras. The early 60's design was a carryover late 50's theme. GM made a few simple changes to modernize into the 60's theme by a hood and grill change. I think the 63 grill matches the wrap around windshield and new hood for the best of both worlds (late 50's and 60's).GM felt it got it right with the 64, since they no longer had a body or grill changes.
