Possible ebay scam?
Hey guys, I keep getting emails from this guy about my truck, does it seem odd? Here's the email:
((Hello, I would like to buy this item, but I need some form of sales contract to be sure that I am the only buyer of the item. Sorry to be this leery but there are so many fake listings these days... I already have a sales contract prepared so I can send it to you and look at it and tell me if it is OK. How would you like payment? Thank you, Russell Scott)) I've pretty much told him to take a hike, I'm not signing any contract! but he keeps emailing this crap.

Re: Possible ebay scam?
cash talks and bs walks... has he actually bid on the truck yet? I would never sign a "buyers contract" especially through email... good luck,,let me know how it turns out.

Re: Possible ebay scam?
I dont know if he has bid, I doubt it. I will say one thing, this is the last time I'll use ebay. To many shady people out there.

Re: Possible ebay scam?
Ebay is a great place. But just keep it to simple purchases and sales. Smaller stuff. I would never buy a vehicle I had not seen and drove. And I would try and report that guy somehow. Not sure what Ebay has for that kind of thing, but he does sound shady.

Well - it ain't about eBay, it's about this guy
Have him send you the contract - I'd LOVE to read it! |

Re: Possible ebay scam?
i think anytime it says somthing like "this item" you should consider it a scam, if they relly are trying to buy somthing from you then call it what it is!
ive had several emails like this on craigslist where thay say stuff like "i would like to purchase your propesed item i need to know its current working condition" there all a bunch of b.s. |
