Replacement heater motor
I recently replaced a couple of heater motors...one on my '66 Chevy K10 with a Deluxe heater and one on my '66 Chevy C20 with a Deluxe heater. I bought them at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Their manuals only went back to 1968, so I had them pull one, so I could take a look.
They are manufactured by Siemens and are part number PM102. They come with the correct plug to insert in the motor body hole, since this motor does not require external cooling. They are a direct bolt-in, including the male blade connector to receive the factory female blade connector. They can be installed without removing the heater box from the firewall. They do not include the squirrel cage, so you will have to use your own. They also include the keeper nut. The best part of the deal is they are only $19.95, plus tax. I have seen them online for almost $40.00, plus shipping. I thought this information might help someone needing to replace the blower motor on their 4-5-6 Chevy Truck. There may be cheaper options, but I have found $19.99 to be the cheapest for a good-quality brand name heater motor. I hope this information is useful for others.

That's good information... May need one for the '65. How many years were the same heater motors used? Were they the same in '62?

This is what I found: Heater Identification Recirculating Heater 1960-1963: Blower motor located in cab under dash. Has two lever control panel. Thrift Air Heater 1964-1966: Blower motor located in engine bay. Single knob control air pull fan knob. Deluxe Heater 1960-1966: Blower motor located in engine bay. 1960-1963 has a four lever control panel. 1964-1966 has a trhee lever control panel. Based on this information, the motors appear to be specific for 1960-1963, if the heater is a Recirculating heater and 1964-1966, if the heater is a Thrift Air heater and interchangeable for 1960-1966, if if the heater is a Deluxe Air heater. Also, the 1960-1963 heater motors appear to be approximately twice as much as the 1964-1966 heater motors. I believe the heater motor fans are the same for all 1960-1966. Went to O,Reilys today-still the same part number PM102 by Siemens-cost me $21.77 with tax AND they had one in stock too! I have a thrift heat 66 Chevy truck heater fan. Great advice Tony!! Same fan is $40 in Ebay...
