Fuel Tank
just installed a fuel tank sending unit in my gas tank. But what wires do I need to but to connect it to the fuel gauge on my dash. What else do I need to purchase inorder to get my fuel gage working. I also need to know how to install it so that the fuel gage works correctly can anyone help me PLEASE.

There should be a single Tan wire connected to a small post beside were your sender unit enters the tank this wire then runs to the across the top of the tank down by the drivers door and along the floor under the door sill plate and into the fuse panel were it says fuel gauge. Assuming that you have a printed circuit on the back of your instument panel and all your gauges are fitted and connected by the harness plug then you should get a reading when you turn your ignition on.

Eightbanger, I've got a blazer tank which is located in the rear of the truck and it's grounded to the frame. In Razr's, for a tank behind the seat, doesn't it also require a grounded?

The Tan wire is the ground and the pick up for the sender there is no other wire that conects to the tank...this is how it is in mine with tank behind the seat.
