Re: stainless steel headers
SS headers are good. They do change color though, kinda brown/gold like.

Re: stainless steel headers
I have stainless longtubes on mine, they do turn an ugly gold/tan after a few heat cycles. They're not real pretty, but they won't rust.

Re: stainless steel headers
I had someone PM me about my Chevelle headers. I mentioned 3/4 length headers. This person bought full length Chevelle headers. Compalint: header on passengerside hits the tranny crossmember on a 4X4. Not so sure on a 4X2. Be warned!!

Re: stainless steel headers
Another thing I have heard about stainless headers or exhaust is that it "ticks" when it is cooling down (like the tick, tick, tick, tick of cooling metal). Not a big deal but I have heard some people say it can be a bit annoying.

Re: stainless steel headers
what i thought a lot of guys were using them for our kinds of trucks. I was going to order block huggers but was told they would hit the frame. Now i dont know what the hell to do.

Re: stainless steel headers
i have shorty block huggers and they dont hit frame... never had any problems with them except that they changed an ugly color (especially if you touch them with oily hands and forget to wipe it off)
plus i cant keep headergaskets on it, even with header bolts, but i think if i invested in some ARP bolts i would be better (thats the plan) |

Re: stainless steel headers
4X2. The auction picture is the same header I'm using. May be the same supplier too.
