Started on engine clean up
Yesterday soaked the engine down with Gunk, ran to local car was and pressure washed a long while.I was able to clean most of the undercoating off the inner fenders. So its possible.I hate the look of the stock exhaust manifolds with the heat sheilds left on.So I removed the right side.Knocked the sheild off.Which made for one problem, the spark plug wire heat sheild. So I made a couple of brackets to install the sheild.I also removed the heat flap and actuator.I couldn't believe it,the 10mm bolt holding it to the manifold backed out with a 1/4 in drive ratchet.Pluggged the hole with a 3/8 bolt and some high temp sealer.

Re: Started on engine clean up
I would just go with headers or 350 manifolds.

Re: Started on engine clean up
I'm not going with headers at this time.I didn't think there would be a differance in OEM manfolds from a 350 to a 305.If the 350 manfold was in any way bigger or better in a any way I would pick up a set.But they have to have the same pipe hook up as the 305 manifolds,I don't want to have to change my exhaust again at this point. Thanks

Re: Started on engine clean up
Yes I have seen that.It seams to be everywhere lately.I don't have a rust issue.I have a clutter issue. After removing of the smog stuff. There is a lot of unused brackets, wires, switches, soleniods ect.Just hanging out under the hood doing nothing. So its going away.
