1989 Suburban for parts in Tx*

I have a 1989 Suburban 4 wheel drive . It is complete except the door panels on the front doors . I was going to part it but have been cleaning and just do not have the time to dismantle it . $700 for the whole thing . I am listing it in the parts section since it is just for parts . I didnt bother getting the title since I originally intended to use the motor and TBI in an older truck but could check into it if absolutely necessary . It is a 5.7L 350 TBI motor ,serpentine setup , auto tranny , Blue bucket seat interior , rallys , later model style grille front clip ,good front windshield , etc. I am not parting it out at this time . If there is no interest in a week or so , then maybe . I will add pics tomorrow or Friday . Frank

Are you ready to part it out yet? Is it a chevy or GMC? I might be interested in the front clip.

Re: 1989 Suburban for parts in Tx*

I am sorry for the delay in pictures on this thing . The front clip is good . The pass fender has some spots where the paint is lifting and there is surface rust under it . it isnt rusted through . The hood and driver fender is straight . One small dengt/ding in pass fender . $300 for the front clip and all headlight wiring will be included from the firewall plug forward . Sorry about the dirty pics in the tall grass . I really need to get rid of this thing and mow around the parts department (barn). Frank

Re: 1989 Suburban for parts in Tx*

Frank, what kind of condition is the engine in? A friend of mine has my old 89 blazer, and the engine is starting to knock, if it runs I might be interested in picking up the whole truck for them.

Re: 1989 Suburban for parts in Tx*

The tank pump doesnt supply fuel so the only way I have to run it is by pouring a little gas in the throttle body and starting it . Doesnt run long since I do not want to pour gas in a running engine but when it starts , it is quiet and there are no knocks . I have someone locally that looked at it Friday and I told him I would hold it a week or so . I will let you know if he backs out .

I appreciate it, I will let my friend know and if it falls through we could very well come get it. I need to get something done for him because he is badly disabled and cant do it himself, it would be a good thing.
