is it easier to remove the motor and tranny?
is it easier to remove the motor and transmission at the same time? i was watching horsepower tv and thats what they did, i know they make it look easy on that show but man its a huge job

takes two people. much easier with the hood off and easier yet without the core support... but those are not mandatory.

Lot easier complete, especially with a transfer case. You don't need a forklift, scaffolding will work also. Years back I would use a tree and a chain hoist. good Luck.

mremove the radiator stick the truck on jackstands or ramps remove the hood then drop the trans crossmember and motor mounts then yank it its just as easy that way ive done it a few times that way with a standard its prolly easier to set it up that way outside the truck
