Need stock wheel and tire size
What might the stock wheel and tire sizes have been for a 67 GMC SWB 4x4 and if you have a picture of what it might have looked like that would be nice too. Thanks

Re: Need stock wheel and tire size
This wheel is a rare one from a 67 4x4. It is a split rim with the 700-15 tire. The wheel is a 15x6.

Re: Need stock wheel and tire size
Thanks fellas for the help. I was wondering about the split rims since my 69 came with them. I will be looking at altenatives for this project. Anyone heve any suggestions, I like the wheel and tires to be on the narrow side like stock.

Re: Need stock wheel and tire size
There were many configurations available,John. There were the standard 15" rims that 235/75x15s look stock on,probably close to Gs & H78s.16" rims were available with 6.50x16 tires.235/85x16s would be the comparable radial. There were floatation wheel/tires available with 8.25x16.5 wheels & 10.00x16.5 tires. There were options in the standard 15" rim.
Here`s what there was available in`71: Tube Type: *G78-15/B On-Off road on 6:00 wheel *6.50-16/C On-Off Road on 5.00 wheel *6.50-16/C (6 ply rating) On-Off Road on 5.00 wheel Tubeless: *G78-15/B On-Off Road on 6.00 wheel *H78-15/B On-Off Road on 6.00 wheel Tubeless Flotation-Type:......$450 option back then!!! *10.00-16.5 (6 ply rating) Highway on 8.25 wheel *10.00-16.5 (6 ply rating) On-Off Road on 8.25 wheel Those 10. *
