Non-Auto Tilt
I have found an original non-auto tilt in a C-50 truck. Is it a direct fit to a c-10?
My friend is willing to trade me it for another column as long as it is a tilt column. I purchased a van tilt before I found this one and converted it to a non-auto. I have not put it in my truck yet so I plan on trading it to him, if I compress the intermediate shaft will it fit in a C-50? To convert the van column to work with the C-50 can I just cut off the horse shoe wiring plug from my non-tilt column and splice it or do I need to get the conversion plug? I am stoked about getting an original tilt. I looked on eBay to see how much money I am going to save with the trade but there are not any listings for a non-auto tilt.

Re: Non-Auto Tilt
The conversion adapter plug whatever you want to call it is available from the dealer for about 9.00.
Someone can post a part number if not I will dig mine out and get the number for you. Jason |

Re: Non-Auto Tilt
maybe lookup what a drag link is , it has nothing to do with steering column installation

Re: Non-Auto Tilt
Thanks Jason if you can find that part number that would be great.
The column looked as if it were at a steeper angle on the C-50. For sure it was at a lower position as the gauge cluster hardly had a cut out at all for the column to fit up in. I am hoping it is the same size as the ones in the C-10s' just at a steeper angle. If anyone knows please let me know.
