52" LLC question... help!
OK, I've been searching all over for the answer to this question, but I can't find it... The question concerns swapping to the 52" springs (using rear springs in the front). All the brackets are no problem, but what do you do at the axle? The longer leaf springs are 2-1/2 inches wide, where the springs coming out were 3 inches wide. Do you just mount it up with the plates from the original springs, even though there is a 1/2 inch difference (especially since you can't change the perch on the passenger side, being that it is cast into the housing).
What's the proper way to connect the front end to the 2-1/2 springs?

Re: 52" LLC question... help!
Thanks for the link, it was real informative and a big help.
The only question it didn't answer is the one I am looking for- how do you bolt the axle, with it's perches designed for 3 inch springs, to a 2.5 inch spring? Do you just use the 3 inch hardware? Does the loss of .5 inch (or .25 on each side of the spring) hurt anything?
