AIM Industries ?
I realize these guys have a pretty bad reputation and was just curious why. I used a set of Chassis Tech (same company right?) spindles several years back and had no issues. I am getting ready to order some spindles/springs so I can get rid of the lowered control arms and wanted to know if anyone had used their products lately.
Price seems pretty good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVR...QQcmdZViewItem

Re: AIM Industries ?
Their prices are awesome. If that were the end of the story it would be great, but in many cases it is not. They usually rape you on shipping. They quite often screw up the order and will charge you again for shipping, and a restocking fee. I could go on with a long list but I won't.
You might get lucky and have no issues, but if you do it will be a small miracle to get it rectfied. PLEASE do not support this company in any way. They are scammers and you have been warned. Why take a chance and support a company that operates in this manner.

Re: AIM Industries ?
Take a look at Stylintrucks, I just ordered my DJM 5/5 kit for $393 shipped. Currently save 20% off kits and $10 on shipping, a little cheaper then summit.

Heard nothing but BAD from them, I think that there was a post of them in the past about "bad dealing"

Re: AIM Industries ?
I ordered a set of spindles from them many years ago for my S10 and i had no problems with them or the product but that was a very long time ago when there name was ???? can't remember what it was. But as i remember it they had to change the company name cuz there reputation got SOOOOOOOO BAD.
For years now all i'v heard about them is BAD stuff under the name AIM. I would not purchase any thing from them currently knowing there reputation is again in the toilet. |

At one time their ads claimed they had warehouses in several cities including Houston. I called and asked where it was in Houston, and they admitted that they didn't "really" have one here. They aren't like some companies that occasionally have bad service. They promote bad service as a policy. They are clearly scammers with the lure of low prices.

Re: AIM Industries ?
If you look at their ads, all they do is trash their competitors. Any company that takes out huge 3-page ads in major publications and bashes their competitors is hiding something. Also, when you've changed your company name four times, then you're definately hiding something. I bought a flip kit from them for my '73 years ago, and it was the biggest POS kit I've ever ordered. Yep, their advertised prices seem too good to be true, and I guess I got what I paid for.

thanks for that plug. i had been scoping out a kit from sport truck direct and was about to pounce on it. ($499 w/o shocks 5/7" drop) i'm looking to eventually do a static 5/7" drop on my 82 with 20's. to get the extra 2" in the rear i'm guessing i just have to incorporate hangers? after checking out stylin trucks i'm going to go with the 3/5" drop for $255.99 this way i can better gauge if i'm going to have clearance and rubbing issues. i can add the required drop springs and shocks at a later date. i'd rather have to order a few additional parts afterwards than be stuck with a bunch i can't use. i can't remember if i have 1" or 1.25" rotors. i did measure 'em at some point. Outfoxed: thanks again for the link. let me know how the install goes and post some pics of the finished project if it's not too much trouble. |

Re: AIM Industries ?
No prob... I was planing on installing this weekend, but after reading about some common lowering issues I may wait till I get everything lined up. I dont want to grind my calipers and lower control arms to clear my rallys, also order some brake lines incase the stocker dont go back on to well. I'll defineatly post pics....
