Windshield washer motor, rebuildable?
My windshield wipers are dragging a little worse every day.
Seem to work OK if the windshield is actually wet, but drags really bad when dry and I think this is a sign of deminshing performance. I have lubed all the pivot points liberally and this helped but I'm thinking I need to resurface the armature and maybe install new brushes. New motor is expensive $165 unless someone knows good source thats less expensive. I have rebuilt starters and altenators, but not a windshield wiper motor. Questions 1) Is it rebuildible? 2) Is it worth the trouble? 3) Anyone on this forum done it successfully? Thanks for Replys.

You can take it apart and put in new brushes. The washer part is rebuildable i have seen rebuild kits in the HELP rack at NAPA

I bought a replacement windshield wiper motot/washer pump for a 79 for about (if I remember right) $75 at Autozone.
Yours is a later model and uses a different pump, but try them you might be surprised. -- Mike
