Rear Seat Question
So my Blazer didn't come with any of the original seats when purchased. I've been collecting original core seats and slapping seat covers on them in the short term. Today I was installing the rear seat and noticed that the mounting doesn't really line up. I notice every picture on the board has 4 brackets across the back of the rear seat, the seat belts also mount to these. My seat has two brackets... pics attached... You can see that the brackets do not line up with any of the mounting locations. I'm thinking this may be a '69-'70 seat... pre-seat belts?
I'm also looking for seat belts for the rear (preferably black)... If anybody has some laying about. As always, much thanks Last edited by Bino; 04-21-2008 at 01:31 AM. |

Re: Rear Seat Question
My 70 has 4 brackets, but not sure what the different number of brackets was about. I thought it was a 72 thing though.

Re: Rear Seat Question
I've had them with 2 & 4 mounts across the back. I don't know if it was a year thing, an assembly factory thing or just what ever they grabbed. I do know that the seats from a burb 3rd row fit.
If the truck came with 2 mounts on the back of the seat, the center two bolt holes were for seat belt bolts. The outer belt mounts bolted to the two brackets.
