stereo question

Anyone had digital gm shaft style radio that had a mind of its own? I'm assuming it may be corrosion, or something. It's in a really nice 88 Jimmy, and i dont want to cut the dash to put in a din style.I'd really like to fix this one , or find another

Re: stereo question

Not that the problem, but there are lots of places that are selling the shaft type radios with updated electronics inside now. I now LMC sells them for sure, and I know of one member here BigBlock73 had a older GM shaft radio that came with his truck refurbished with all new insides added for about $500.
What ever you do don't cut the dash, AutoZone still sells the shaft type radios for like $40 not the best quality but it is a radio.

$426 to be exact. Expensive, but worth it IMO.
