Vacuum Gauge?
There is a guy by me who is sort of parting out a '64 Suburban and I noticed it has an engine vacuum gauge in it that looks very original. Was this an option and would it be worth picking up from him?

Not an option, but could have been installed by the original dealer or the previous owner.If it is in the dash panel, it is a factory gauge item typically found in a medium duty truck.

The Air or Vacuum gauge was installed in some of the Series 50-80 Chevy trucks with a factory dash cluster with gauges. It is found in the left blank of the gauge cluster. I have seen them on eBay before for over $100.00.
It would make a nice addition for the fellows running a bag system. |

I put a Pontiac vacuum gauge in my gauge cluster. Look on E-Bay for Pontiac or Oldsmobile vacuum gauges.
Actually this was my second one, I had the first one out out of it's housing and the needle was stuck... thinking I could "unjam" it with compressed air, all it did was cause the thing to fly out of my hand and explode on impact.
