G/I 1966 Gmc c1000

Just putting a feeler thread out.I may possibly end up selling my truck.
1966 GMC Short Fleetside
1986 SBC 350 block .040 over flattop 9.5-1 compression with 461 Double Hump heads from a 65 327. XS262s solid lift cam .477/.488 lift,Comp Cams Double Roller timing chain,Edelbrock 600 CFM carb,Edelbrock Performer EPS manifold,Edelbrock chrome valve covers,Chrome timing cover,Dynomax Full Length Headers,2.5 piping to glasspacks with turndowns,Accel Distributor,Accel Shorty plugs,new plug wire set,Chrome water neck.New radiator,new upper hose.
Rebuilt Th350 with blue clutches,B&M chrome pan,B&M shift kit,Hurst Pro-Matic 2 shifter,new auto cross member,new 12 3/4 flexplate and new 2800 Boss Hog stall converter,new speedo cable and new U-Joints
New Sunpro Triple Gauge(Volt,Oil,Water)
New Sunpro Tach
This truck also has a 3.54 ratio Dana 44 rear
2 new Hood Hinges and a new gas pedal from LMC
I think that may be all.

Im thinking somewhere around $8000.Let me know what you guys think.

This engine and trans combo only has about 400 miles on it.It recently took its first road trip with no problems what so ever.
It needs a little bit of body work and new bed wood. Not nothing too bad though.I also have a OEM Chevy tailgate to throw in as well. It's blue and has very little surface rust.

No help here? Whats a good price?
Take into consideration that I have roughly 4k in the drivetrain alone. Not to mention the price of the truck and the misc parts I have in it

Nice truck man! I think you will be sitting on it awhile at $8000, but I dont know the market where your at. Around here its worth abot $5000-$6000 even with all you've invested. they are very common around here. I hope your market is better than ours. $8000 is a good starting point, it gives you room to dicker a bit. Hopefully that helps you out a bit. Nice ride man, you should keep it anyway.

I dont mind sitting on it and honestly may not sell it but I would like to know what the value would be around at certain stages of progress.I just get irritated some times and wonder whats better for me,a truck or paying off debts

Here in South Western Ontario it'd sell pretty quick at $5000-$6000. If you held out for a while you could probably get $8000 for it.
