Suicide doors...?

Has anyone made or done suicide doors on 60's model trucks? preferrably on 60-63 with rap around windows.. If anyone has some pics of theirs that they did, or have a pics or something that would be cool. Ive been tossing it up, not quite there yet but ya know just thinking about it..

Wow thats crazy. the 66 burb in that other thread is my old truck. It wasn't really that hard to do the suicide on it. I also worked on Barbee's 63 too.

Hey thanks badriand, that helps, im looking into doing that to my 62 but not sure yet. have seen people make their own hinges but not sure and havn't seen enough pics to feel confident about building them

rocrln posted these shots in robs crewcab build thread, he said that they were early 2 door wagoneers. said 4 door ones don't open as far.
should be the same principal for our trucks.

Ya thats cool, thats what i was looking for was some pics of it in progress. Any ideas on what and whos kits are good or not..? iv heard get what you pay for and believe that too but i have seen kits from 2 to 700 and i would figure they have same concept..

I like it alot seems real durable ,has replacable bushings,plenty of adjustment.When i get done we will see how they hold up.i also got the shaved door kit for cheap from there to.good place for custom parts cheap i joined as a member and saved a lot on all the stuff i have bought.

Hey suicide 63, good pics of cab hinges. did you have to make brackets or something in the door? do you have some pics of that?

The kit comes with a hinge pocket you brace and weld into place. I will take a couple pics tommorow.

hey suicide 63 can you get a closer image on where and how you mounted your hinges. Started mine and cant get the door to open up all the way, the door comes in contact with the cab.

No this project has been put on the back burner for my 91 crewcab swb build.
Then i am going get my wifes 72 monte ready for paint for the spring.
If there is any particular pics you need just let mee know.
