The final body work has begun.

I have started the final body work. There's not much more I need to do. I still need a wood bed kit. I need a welder to put in a fender panal on the bed and install an exhaust. paint, and prep and paint the interior. And I eventually want to lower it a little. I cant wait till this this is done. But the problem with body work is that it burns me out so damn quik.

I have a few colors in mind. I'm still a little undecided. But the color sceme wont be too tecnical cause I will be painting it myself. It will be the first paint job I have ever done. So I'm thinking maby somthing simple. Right now I'm leaning heavily toward the idea of going with a flat black. I will be going to check out some color test strip when I get the chance and get what ever pointers I can while I'm there.

Hey JD. I also am working on my first paint job. I went with Kustom Shopz hot rod flatz. They have a huge selection of "flat" colors. It all came as a kit and was pretty easy to spray. You have tons of options... just sharing what I did. You can check out my blog in my sig to see how its coming along. Good luck!

Hey thanks Salazar! Yeah, I really like the look. Your truck looks great. I'm gonna look into that. Did you use the same paint on the interior as you did on the ex. I really like the black on black. Man I've got so many ideas for my truck its crazy. I just wish I had the money and equipment to just get it done.

I know what you mean! The reason why I did choose to do it myself... I had more time than money. And still not enough money for my time!

I did use the same paint in and out. 1 gallon kit should cover the whole thing. I did have to reshoot the whole cab because I sucked and had really bad striping. But the kit is cool, it comes pre mixed with flattening agent, hardener, reducer, mixing sticks, strainers, etc. Plus if you had the itch to choose a different flat color they have plenty to choose from. Its also a urethane paint with UV protection so you dont have to worry about it chaulking up and ruining all ur hard work.
