Re: how to join longhorn club/thread
from South Texas! There isn't a Longhorn specific forum as far as I know but if you go to the 67-72 forum you'll find some info there. You can also PM Longhorn Man as he's pretty knowledegable(sp?) on the Longhorns and might could point you in a better direction than I can.

"Inherited" inherited or "passed down"? if the former, I'm sorry for your loss.
If the latter, way to go. Either way, welcome from Philadelphia. -Todd

Re: how to join longhorn club/thread
Thank you all for your "welcomes" from so many states, I'm impressed. You're all very helpful. I inherited dads truck when he passed away. My mom passed away 23 days later, she stuck it out till dad died, then her job being done, just quit. So, dad's beautiful truck I got because the other siblings didn't really want it. (silly gooses). I'm very happy to have it, grew up with it, going on camping trips, there was a camper on the back-just what that truck was made for. I can remember dad rattling the coffee pot early in the mornings urging us to get up and go play wherever we were camped, rock hounding, fishing, etc.
I want to restore it, which mostly will be cleaning and relpacing worn out parts, period. i'll keep it original, and drive it too. I'll go to some shows but will have to stick by it closely, especially after seeing what parts for the truck cost!!!I'd hate to have to replace parts that get ripped off. Any way, that's the story so far. I'll keep you posted and probably ask more questions later. Thanks again. JJ |

Re: how to join longhorn club/thread
Welcome from So.Calif. I got my "Longhorn" from the original owner too.Only I had to put mine to work so it really will need some work when it retires.(does that make sense?)
Any questions or if you need any pictures just post away.- Brian
