Blazer parts

What are some good places to get a rear hatch and a rubber body mount kit from these days? Most places only sell the poly kits, only place I have seen a rubber mount kit with bolts is LMC.

Re: Blazer parts

Most of the board vendors should be able to get you what you want. I bought seals (top to body) from LMC and didn't have any problems.

I did buy some door seals off ebay and they have not been great. The rubber at the top corner doesn't align with the holes very well. I'll probably look at replacing them after this summer.

Re: Blazer parts

No. It was a private individual who had purchased them and then sold the truck. I don't know where he bought them. I was about 6 years ago. I actually bought them for my last blazer.

I've said it before, but I seriously doubt there are many (if even more than just one) manufacturers of the Blazer specific seals and rubber. There isn't enough market to justify the cost of tooling. There was only 80,000 first Gen Blazers (not including Jimmy's) manufactured. If you consider how many have met their demise, there isn't enough left to make any money with multiple manufactures. I think that is one reason there aren't any more soft-top manufacturers.

Anyway, if you do buy them, let us know how they fit and if there is a manufacturers name on them.

Re: Blazer parts

There are two manufacturers that I know of for sure. Soft Seal, and Precision. WES

Re: Blazer parts

We have had the best luck with Precision. They are also the manufacturer of the best windshield gaskets. WES
