Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
I dont care wether they are for sale or custom or stock. It'd be a good sale/idea thread though.
BTW, is this a good deal? I really want a C-30 but this is the only one near me I have found. http://raleigh.craigslist.org/car/659169626.html

Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
Sounds like a cobbled mess.I wouldn`t want that truck with that motor or tranny.I imagine it`s a high rpm motor in a low rpm/torque application and it`s not running right. Why wouldn`t he drain gas,put fresh in,and get running right if that`s all it needs.

Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
I think that`s good, then.I just thought it was dumb to ever put that motor in that truck. Not impressive at all, just all wrong .
Here`s my ole`70 that served me well for about 13 years,88-01: I lost sleep over this one when it was for sale: Didn`t lose sleep, but couldn`t eat right for a while when this was for sale: Shoulda bought this one: Another custom 4wd GMC that I`d give my right nuh...evermind:

Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
Great pics. I totally agree Tim, that red GMC 4x4 dump is awesome! Here's some more C-30's.
This one below was for sale on Ebay about 2 weeks ago, but I don't have the link. It has a tough look to it. I am definitely going to raise the front to match the rear after seeing this one.

Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
How about that red`67 dump with a diesel.Or,any of these for that matter.I wanted to swap one into my`70 real bad. That picture was on the last job I used it on in`01.If I had more ground I would have kept it and gone over it again.
I`ve always wanted a dump: This company was U-Hauls competitor for awhile: Can`t leave my wrecker out of this:

Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
When I was 15 I worked for the local mechanic in my small home town. He had a blue 71 that was almost identical to the red one you got here. I don't remember the exact brand of the bed and hoist, but it looked the same. It even had the same type of push guard in the front. That was probably the truck that first made me fall in love with 67-72s. I wanted one of these wreckers ever since! BEAUTIFUL! I will see if I can dig up an old picture...

Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
A picture would be cool.I was the same way, always wanted one.I worked at a gas station in H.S. and got to go do hot shots in it and grab supper, that`s about it.I was stylin`and profilin`.
I never see the exact bed.I really like it`s straight top and low-profile.I have a Cheyenne interior in it,now, sans carpet. It needs a beacon. The tight wad I bought it off of took it off and was trying to sell for $300.(after doubling what he paid for the truck) I would have lettered the doors and aged it.But,he messed up the driver`s door backing up hanging the door open so he could see since he pulled the west coasts off because he didn`t like how they looked. Some guys shouldn`t have trucks. I have a factory set I for it.He prolly threw the original ones out.

I might as well post a few pics of my C-30's also. Here's my half finished 67 C-30 pickup and my '69 C-30 ramp truck.

Re: 1967-1972 C-30's
Just FYI, its frowned upon by the board to make comments about the pricing of other members trucks/parts. I'm not being a jerk towards you or anything, just letting you know.
There aren't many solid trucks left where Special-K lives, and I've seen people pay way more for much less. $3500 doesn't seem like a bad price for a turnkey wrecker to me.
