yes thats a real steel grill in the front. ok it's a metal grill that is very solid. i will take a look tomorow with the magnet test.

Cool! I've always thought those shortys were cool. I'd love to see one of the South American short step vans with the truck grille (like in the pic below) in person!

Isn`t that aluminum?It`s made by Grumman.The factory StepVans have a grille that mimmicks the 67/68 Chevy grille,like the medium duties.What year is that?By the bumper it appears to be a 73-80.I`d like to find one of those.

I used to specialise in that type of van. That body style came out in 68 & they used it for almost 30 years. Somewhere in the late 70's they changed to abar type grill. That grill is made of aluminum. Ther is a place that carries parts for them. They chassis is Chev & the mechanical parts are the same as the pickups. They are listed as P10-20-or 30.

Those were everywhere when I was a kid. It probally was a Canada Post van...

What kind of engine? I've seen a couple of those, usually 250/3 on the tree. There is also a newer 1 ton version for sale locally that has a Cummins 4bt mated to a SM465...hmm.
