Re: speed waring, vac and tach?

well, the only way to get a factory vac guage in the insterment panel from the factory was in a gas powered, non air brake C/40 or bigger.
So I'd look there.
Speed warning was 69 and older

Re: speed waring, vac and tach?

Is far as i know, the speed warning is not reproduced, so you would have to find an original. And as andy mentioned, the vacuum would have to come from a bigger truck. Also, an original tach/speedwarning rear tin has a special insulator for the buzzer to not ground out. Not easy to find what you are looking for, and if you find one, i'm sure it won't be cheap. Eric

Re: speed waring, vac and tach?

I have two speed, tach, vac clusters and have been thinking about getting rid of one. They have both been taken apart media blasted and painted. They are ready to be assembled. If you are seriously looking for one pm me and we can talk about it.

Those look great. I would love to have one, but would be scared of the price tag.

too much stuff, I'm more impressed with the choke delete emblem than anything else on that cluster!

Powell, the choke delete was the finishing touch. Thanks for the compliments.
Paul, price i would say around $700. That is just my humble opinion of course.

Re: speed waring, vac and tach?

Eric, with being restored w/ buzzer and harness for tach and speed warning. I would not take less than 800.00

Re: speed waring, vac and tach?

Paul, your price is probably closer with the buzzer and harness. So seldom you see a setup like that to judge a good price. That one you did looks great.

Re: speed warning, vac and tach?

You can get a reproduction Tach and vacuum conversion from the Car and Truck Shop, Classic Industries, Golden State Pickups and several other vendors that specialize in 67-72 trucks. Myself I found the vacuum gauge useless in a light duty truck so in it's place is a 82-87 c-k series quartz clock I custom fit, you can check it out by clicking onto http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1145...33798696ArxHfz.

these trucks don't need vacuum gauges cause they don't suck!
two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights do make a left
all i want is a little more than i'll ever get
it's better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6
