This happens everywhere. There's not much you can do about it. When you have so many different people with different views, it's hard to keep everybody happy. Also, typing out a sentence doesn't have certain inflections in it like speaking it, so many people can take things the wrong way.
After spending 5 years in the Navy, I saw this happen time and time again. You get people from all walks of life and put them together. Disagreements and misunderstandings will happen. You just have to live with it and try to stay out of other peoples' conficts. I do.
