Painter D Registered User Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: DFW (Forney) Posts: 1,529	alternator getting very hot. (normal?) I replaced my alt. from Auto Zone with another Auto Zone alt. (under warranty) and the new one is charging good but gets extremely hot. So hot you cant touch it at all. Is this normal? It's a 1 wire internally regulated alt. Any help would be great.
