Mix & Match?
Check this out ..
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...4&postcount=37 That is under the back of my 68 C-20. I think it's a 10 bolt/8.5 from a 77 to 91, but I'm not sure. Part of me wants to be convinced that it's the original axle (which means I haven't a clue what it is!) but then, the truck does have a 74 vintage 350 in it instead of the original 307, so who knows? Anyone good at Iding these buggers?

Re: Mix & Match?
oo... found it
http://www.ringpinion.com/DiffDetail...me%3dGM%2bH072 What should I look for on this axle to get the details? (It leaks so I'll be tearing into it to replace the seals anyway.) I know from a little childish experiment that both tires spin equally on pavement under hard acceleration so I think it is *some* sort of locker.

Re: Mix & Match?
That's actually an Eaton HO52. I have one on my '69 C-20.
