Re: how many other projects do you have
This is work I'm working on
When I finish the truck I'm gonna start on the this again. There are some things I don't like about it, but I don't want to have two cars down so I drive this and enjoy it for now. |

Kabwe, that's not a 6.0 is it? Nice vehicles.
BTW, who's bus is that in the background? Is it old or just built to look old? Last edited by BOHICA; 07-02-2008 at 09:10 PM. |

Re: how many other projects do you have
These are all works in progress:
The '54 is getting most of my $ and attention right now. The IROC is my DD with 230+k miles and an original tired power train. And this is my wife's grocery getter. It needs new brake pads soon!

Re: how many other projects do you have
i have a few:
i am starting fabrication for a turbo system for my lightning, it will really progress when i finish my mustang so i DD the stang instead of the L. also i need to finish painting the wheels black then i recently picked up this chevelle. i am putting bucket seats in it this week, then i need to fix the a/c. it runs and drives, but the brake system needs to be flushed and new pads put on my mustang can be seen behind the chevelle. it is a road race car in progress. it was a 4 cyl. car that i converted. it has some things that need to be finished up before i can rotate it into the DD spot

Re: how many other projects do you have
Occasionally her grocery getter is shared and used for house projects as we don't have a running truck yet. I'd like to get a 67-72 that I could use for a work truck so the Tahoe stays nice, but then I'd probably want to paint, hot rod and lower it and need another work truck. I can't seem to leave well enough alone.

Re: how many other projects do you have
The 48 will get a lot of attention this fall and winter but my other projects are a bit diverse.
This one isn't a wheeled vehicle but it is the current project. My 21 ft sailboat is getting a complete redo in preparation for an extended vacation on Puget Sound next month. A previous owner had painted the deck, cockpit and interior of the cabin black and it was a bit ugly. The deck and cockpit are white now and the nonskid will be tan. All wood with fresh varnish and It should be in the water about Aug 4 or 5. Other projects are the two seat pre war indy "style" roadster that I am collecting pieces for. the Cowl is 1919 Buick, frame will be 28 or so Chevrolet with the Chevrolet wire wheels from the same. Power is still undecided but will be an inline four or six. The rest of it will be what the swapmeets, junkyards and scrounging provide as long as they are pretty close to on theme with the car. The idea is to have it look like it was built as a two seat road racing car in the 20's or early 30's. The 71 is also an ongoing project that will see a lot more time spent on it as soon as I get something going that gets real gas mileage. It won't be a show only truck as it will still have to be "the truck" around the place. It is a GMC with a Chev nose after my aunt had a wreck with it. Plans call for lots of body work and new paint and seat along with a fresh engine and trans. It runs, drives, sings and dances but the engine and trans are getting tired and it is time for some upgrades. Another project is my 88 Dodge (it was cheap) conversion van that is intended to be the tow rig for the boat and anything else that needs to be towed somewhere. With the price of gas now it won't leave the yard many times without a trailer of one sort or another hooked to the hitch. The other projects are either boring or don't have enough parts collected to call them a project yet. Last edited by mr48chev; 07-11-2008 at 05:26 PM. |

Re: how many other projects do you have
Currently, I'm trying to do the s10 frame swap, but when I'm not turning a wrench I'm working on my hanicap. This was last summers project - a 1975Harley 3 wheel golf cart. We've clocked it at 23 miles per hour stock, and it's loud. Pipes save lives.
