Drop it?
Well, LONGHAIR and blukangoo did their magic, so now I guess it's my turn to actually do it. It'll be a budget drop...cut the front springs and pick up some new rear springs...Im guessing it'll be a bout a 2/4 drop.
I'd like to know what everyone thinks!

Re: Drop it?
With your current rims and tires, I'd leave it alone. I thought it was a 4x4. Those sidewalls are pretty tall. Were you planning to change the rims/tires?

Re: Drop it?
Nope...that's my favorite part of this truck! If anything, I might go back to my 275/60's w/ some nasty fat white letter tires...that'll drop the sidewalls down a bit, but the rims stay. Can't find some sweet 70's turbine's anymore!

Re: Drop it?
What size are your current tires. I would think a 255/70/15 would look perfect

Re: Drop it?
I have always ran 15x10's with 275/60-15's. Allthough I eventually ran a 15x7 and 215/70-15 on the front after I slammed it. Nothing like big-n-littles. The first combination has always looked good on these trucks, especially lowered.

Re: Drop it?
We are discussing the drop and are concerned that my rims may be too wide (10" all the way around). Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Im not sure of the backspacing-

Re: Drop it?
I'm not a big fan of the hot wheels look with the tires sticking outside the fenders but with that wheel tire combo I would probably leave the truck alone. I plan to drop my 71 1-1/2 to 2 in front and three in back but I have 16x8 rims with 245 tires that tuck nicely inside the wheel wells.

Re: Drop it?
Id say drop it when you can find time and worry about rubbing tires later!

Re: Drop it?
I totally dig those old-school turbines. I bet some 275/60-15 would work just fine, I'm running that size on mine front & rear.

Re: Drop it?
Here's the difference a little 2/4 slammage made on my '69. I used McGaughy 2/4 drop springs and I'm running 235/60R15 on front and 275/60R15 BFG's out back - for now...

Re: Drop it?
My opinion...and you know what they say......I think you need 1 more inch in the back.......a little too much rake for me!
